Frequently asked questions
Will the discount really match at checkout?
Yes — that's the core of Combora. Prices are computed by Shopify Functions inside the checkout itself, so what the shopper sees is what Shopify charges, to the cent, in any currency.
Do I need to touch code or edit my theme?
No. Each bundle type has a ready-made theme block you add once in the theme editor — the app deep-links you to the exact spot. Free-gift offers use one extra switch: the Combora Gift app embed, which auto-adds the gift to the cart. Everything else is configuration.
What happens if a product is in two bundles?
Nothing bad: at checkout each item gets the single best offer. Combora offers never stack with each other by accident — only Combos stack, and only because you built them that way.
Can I migrate from another bundle app?
Yes. Generate drafts from a whole collection in one click on any plan; the Plus plan adds CSV import/export (up to 200 bundles per file, with per-row error reporting).
Does it work with my theme and languages?
Yes. The blocks inherit your theme's typography and colors, and the design studio lets you set the style, the element order and per-element colors and sizes — store-wide or per pack — without writing CSS. Storefront text ships in 7 languages.
Is my customers' data safe?
Combora stores no shopper PII in its database — no IPs, names or emails. Analytics are aggregate order facts; the support log holds technical error codes only, purged after 30 days.
Can I try a bundle without my customers seeing it?
Yes — test mode. A bundle published in test mode renders in the theme editor and only there, never on your storefront. While it's in test mode the discount is only computed for customers tagged combora-test, so you can run the full checkout yourself; untick test mode and it applies to anyone who qualifies.
What does my store need — and what happens if I uninstall?
You need an Online Store 2.0 theme (any theme published since 2021 — they support app blocks). Uninstalling leaves nothing broken behind: discounts simply stop applying, storefront widgets disappear with the app's blocks, and a fixed pack's product page stops being purchasable as a pack. Your products, orders and theme are untouched, and Shopify's privacy webhooks erase your store's data from our side.
